Construction started on the Parthenon in 447BC. Built to the greek god Athena or Parthenos (virgin), measuring 70 x 31metres, with its columns being 2m wide & 10m tall. A pity the British Museum still have half the frieze that topped the temple. |

The Caryatid Porch of the Erechtheion temple, the ladies are individually & intricately carved & stand 2.27m in height, its so hot! |
